7 Segment 4 Digit SPI Display Using 74HC595

4 Digit 7 Segment Display using 74HC595 PIC

4 Digit 7-Segment Display Using 74HC595 project drives four 7-Segment Common Cathode display using Serial Shift Register IC. This project provides 4 digits 7-segment display with SPI control for use with microcontroller design.

Applications,

  • Timer Display
  • Score Display
  • Token Display

  1. Four in number 74HC595 serial shift resistor help you latch the 7-Segment Display with data using LAT, SCLK and SDI/SDO pins available at connectors CN1 and CN2
  2. Data from the Microcontroller is fed in at CN1 and additional PCBs can be connected in series at CN2 Connector
  3. The schematic diagram will help you better understand the project and exploit its usefulness in your project
  4. This project will require 3 I/O lines for control apart from 5 VDC supply pins
  5. Resistors R1 to R32 helps limit the current flowing through the IC to the display
  6. Four mounting holes 3.2 mm each
  7. PCB dimensions 116 mm x 53 mm
